Saint Jude Retreats Veterans Program

The Original Non 12 Step Program

The Saint Jude Retreat
Veterans Program for Addiction-Partnering with Warrior2Warrior Foundation

The Saint Jude Retreat and The Freedom Model Program have partnered with Warrior 2 Warrior Foundation to offer our hero’s an all encompassing solution to all relevant veteran issues, including addiction. Warrior2Warrior Foundation’s mission is to reset and sustain warrior resilience, and a large part of that equation for those veterans who struggle with addiction, is to provide an effective path out of these destructive habits. Warrior2Warrior has sought out the best solutions to each challenge a veteran faces when he/she comes home. In the addiction realm, no other program in the world has the track record of our non-12 step model. Over the course of the last 30 years of helping veterans move past addictions, we have heard the same theme over and over from the warriors who have returned home – “I don’t want to go to 12 step meetings or rehab again. Every time they tell me I’m powerless and a victim of drugs and alcohol, I feel diminished and hopeless. I need something different!”  Know this, as pioneers of the first non-12 step program, we hear you! It IS time for our warriors to attend a program that supports their personal ethos of being strong, resilient, and able to chart a successful course in life. This is what we teach in The Freedom Model Program!

As a veteran, you can experience our life changing Non 12 Step Program: The Freedom Model for Addictions.  At Saint Jude Retreat, we know our Veterans are the true heroes in this country. You are not weak or sick and you will never be labeled as such here. In direct contrast to the cold and sterile hospital settings of most post-war rehab settings, the Retreat is an intimate, comfortable, home-like setting where our program can be taught, and learning happens unimpeded. You attend the retreat as a guest not a patient or client, and are always treated with kindness, dignity, and with the upmost in respect. You will be taught one-on-one by world-renowned addiction experts, Mr. Mark Scheeren, Mr. Steven Slate, and Ms. Michelle Dunbar. No other program in the country offers such direct contact and instruction from addiction-help pioneers.

Also, if needed, we will put you in contact with Warrior2Warrior foundation to assist you in other veteran specific issues you may be struggling with. Warrior Warrior2Warrior’s approach to resilience is de-institutionalizednon-threatening, which significantly reduces stigma. They provide veterans in need with intensive physical rehabilitation and peer to peer mentorship, complemented by a suite of secondary services catered to the specific needs of each individual warrior.

What about detox services?

We also work with Gallus Detox to provide Veteran’s detox services, if necessary, prior to arriving at our Retreat.

In summary, we will work closely with Warrior2Warrior in order to ensure veterans receive the proper care they need outside the realm of addiction as well. While enrolled at the Saint Jude Retreat, we stay in close communication with Warrior2Warrior to ensure you have a plan to address your needs prior to returning home.

If you or a loved one is a veteran who is struggling with alcoholism, drug addiction and/or other emotional or behavioral problems, we want to help you. You can take heart knowing that your stay here is always kept completely confidential! Enrollment and attendance in the Freedom Model Program will never affect your ability to exercise your second amendment rights nor will it affect your security clearance or other areas that can be negatively impacted by alcoholism, an addiction or mental health diagnosis or attendance at VA treatment or other insurance-based addiction treatment programs and rehabs. This has been a huge benefit to many of the veterans who have attended our programs.
